Christcuurcu, this day. At yesterday's sitting on tho subject of the Tongan mission, a letter was received from King George of Tonga, requesting the union of that kingdom with the Sew Zealand Conference. After some discussion, it was resolved to remit the question to the quarterly and district meeting of the Friendly Islands, a reply to be returned to that effect; and a deputation, consisting of Revs. Rabono, Watsford, and Longham, was appointed to visit Tonga. At the evening sederuntj Rev.]J. C. Symons submittfid a report of the Superannuation Fund, which showed the income' for the yoar to bo £18,190, and expenditure) £7,790 3s. The assets are £138,074, an increase over liabilities during the year of £S,GSB Os 3d. The number of superannuated ministers on December 31st was 47; widows, 26. Tho Missionary Cotnmittee in London had paid all arrears due to this fund. Roy. Mr Symons stated that Mr Black, actuary, had estimated tho amount necessary to make tho fund solvent at £0,090. Another actuary, MrTempl'oton, estimated the necessary capital at £14,849 ; but, as.the actual capital was largo, tho difference between these estimates amounted only to '2J per ceni. After further discussion the report was adopted, and thd actuaries' reports ordered fo'be printed in the minutes. Votes of thanks wero passed to the Hon. A. Frasof, Rev. J. Copo.'arid the'General-Treasurers of* tho past three years. The following , were appointed Treasurers till the next General Conference:—Dr. Waugh, Dr. Ctitts, Revs. J. C. Symons, E. Bath', H. P. Wills. Messrs O. King, B: John, J. E. Beaver, M.L.C., the former auditors, wero re-elected. ' ' '•' '

Tho consideration of the religious condition of the aborigines of tho northern territory of Australia occupied the attention of tho Conference this morning. ' Tho subject was remitted with directions to tho Board of Missions in Sydney. Noxt October it will bo fifty'years since tho lirst* Wesleyan missionaries landed in Fiji. Tlio successes achieved' during that period have been signally great' It was resolved that the jubilee of the mission should be celebrated on a grand scalo. For this purpose a deputation has been appointed by1' the General Conference to visit Fiji and take part in tho demonstration. Tho deputation ; will consist of the Revs. J. iVVatsford (of Melbourne, and formerly of Fiji), A.
