AUCKLAND.
To-morrow, tho nominations takes placo in tho following districts: — Auckland North, Parnell, Waitomata, Franklin North, and Rodney. The nominations in the other local electorates tako place chiefly on the following day (Wednesday, 16th instant). Bay he lijlanns.^-Nomination to-day. the show of hands was:—Hobbs, 2(j; Gannon, 3 : McKenzic, .". New Plymouth. — Messrs. T. Kelwy, E. M. Smith, .-nil Samuel C. Brown were nominated to-day. Takakaki.—Messrs. R. Trimble, T. Ragloy, and J. Colesby have been nominated lor this scat. Timakii.—Messrs. R. Turnbull and E. G. Kerr were nominated for the House of Representatives today. There was gre.it excitement, large crowds.and long speeches. The show of hands was in favour of Mr. Turnbull. A poll was demanded. East Coast.—Messrs. S. Locko, W L. Rees, T. W. Porter, and A. Graham were nominated to-day for the East Coast Electorate. Mr Rees' indictment against Mr Locko comes on for hearing on Wednesday. If Mr Looko is acquitted it is understood Hint Messrs Graham and Porter will retire, leaving the contest between Messrs. Locke and Rees, Wei.unuton. —The nomination for Te Aro took placo to-day, when tho following were nominated : - .Messrs C. J. Johnston, P. 11. Eraser, J. O'Shea, E. Shaw, and J. 11. Shaw. The show of hands was declared in favour of Mr Johnston, and a poll was demanded. Wairauai-a North. — Messrs George licet hum and W. W. 'McArdlo wei;o nominated. Tho show of hands was in favour of Mr l^cetham. A poll was demanded. Hokitika.—To-day Messrs Beran Clarko and Fitzgerald wero nominated. The show of hands was in favour of Mr Fitzgerald, and a poll was demanded. : Kelson.—At tho nominations for Motueka Messrs. J. Kerr and R. Hursthouso wore proposec'. Tho show of hands was in favour of the latter, and a poll was demanded.
