Auckland, Julr 12.1881. c The following clauses of the By-laws of the Auckland Harbour Board are published for '' general information, viz.— 73. The owner of every vessel which is used r to ply for hiro, whether in the carriage of pasi sengers, cargo, ballast, water, or as a ferrys boat, tug-boat, or any other purpose, shall s obtain a license from the Board for such vessel, and no persun shall allow Ills vessel to ply for " hire or be used for any of the purposes aforesaid without being so licensed. 71. No person shall ply for hire within the ~ harbour, nor use any vessel for the conveyance of passongurs, cargo, ballast, water, or other- -. wise, nor act as master of a ferryboat or tug--1 boat, without being licensed by the Harbour i> Board. 83. All licenses shall be issued for such poriods ' only as shall expire on tho 30th June in any - year; but these may be renowed year by year t at the discretion of the Harbour Board. 85. The master or owner of every vessel ply- . ing for hire, shall pay to the Board, at the office . of tiie Board, before he plies for hire with such , vessel, a licenaofeo in respect of such vessel, according to thefollowingjseulo, that Is to say :— - For every— fi s. d.
