Tiik anniversary of the Battle of tho Boyno was celebrated by tho Orangemen of Auckland today. Extensive* preparations had been made for tho occasion, tho programme including a pro-ce.-sion to, and EOivico at iiomuora, a service this evening, and prosension and divine service to-morrow. The weather was in every respect favourable to tho demonstration this afternoon. Tho I'ratwtant Hall in Newton was tho appointed riiiitle:i'iiiis, and from tho hour of noon tho vicinity of tho hall profontod an animated appearance Crowds of peoplo wearing the " colon r "assembled in the neighbourhood, bright Hags and banners waved in tho breezo, two bands onlivoned tho proceedings with tho strains of national airs, whilo the gay sashes of the brethren, and the bright colours of tho banners imparted an attractive and livoly appoarance to the scene, about 'JO lodges boing represented. There wero also delegates from Pukokoho, Newmarket, Otahuhu, Arata'pu, Kihikihi, Wangaroa, Cambridge, Napier, Mount Albert, find North Shore. Tho procession was hoaded by Hunter's Brass Band, followed by a carriage in which woro the Deputy Grand Master (Mr U. W. Gledding), Troaauror (Mr Morrison), Grand Secretary (Mr Carnahan), Grand Chaplain (Kcv. W. S. Potter), and Bro. Hooker. Rev. J. W. Dunn, who appeared on horseback, represented tho R. W.G.M., Mr D. Goldic, who is absent in tho South. Tho Orango Drum and Fifo Baud, under Bandmaster Hicks, also took part in tho procession. Thoro woro upwards of 200 brethren in tho line of march, while a number of privato carriages followed. On tho arrival of tho procession atßemuera a sermen was to havo boon preached by Rev. G. B. Monro. It was intended to return by way of Newmarket and Kybor Pass to St. James's Hal', whore tho flags and banners woro to bo left and preparations made for the soiree in tho evening. When tho procession was passing tho residenco of Mr David Goldio, Grand Master, who is absent in tho South, a halt was mado, and three cheers woro given for tho absent but popular brother.
