Melbourne, thisdiy.—ln thoLegislative Council last night tho motion for an address to the Queen, praying that Her Majesty would cause to be submitted to the Imperial Pariament a measure for the construction of a Federal Council for the Australian colonies, was carded unanimously. Hohart, July 9. — Tlio quotum of establishing a Federal Council was brought up for discussion in the Legislative Council to-night, and a motion in favour of the same in now under consideration.

Melbourne, this day.—ln the Legislative Council last night, the resolutions of the Sydney convention, after a brief debate, were adopted unanimously.

Sydney*, this day.—Au aiili federation motion was under discussion in the Legislative Council last night, lion. \V. B. Dalley mado a tino speech in opposition to tho motion, and warmly supported annexation. Tho debate was finally adjourned.

Hoiiakt, this day.—The Legislative Assembly passed the resolution in favour of Australanian federation. Reform Bill for Tasmania. Hobaut, this day.—A Ministerial bill lias been introduced in the Assembly, providing for the reform of the Parliamentary franchise of this colony. Melbourne, July 9. —A Ministerial Land Bill was introduced in the Assembly tonight. Melbourne Grain Report.
