Summons Casks. — Charlc3 Ncald pleaded guilty to permitting a stream of impure water to flow from his premises in Newton Road.—Mr Goldio iiUid tho place Was in a bad condition: defendant was not the ownor of tho premises, and was a poor man, and he believed arrangements had been made with the landlord and the matter was receiving attention.—Fined Is and costs.—George McCaslin depasturing 3 cows atthorc.irol' tho Hrservoir. l Jonsonby Road.— Defendant said he should have to sell his cows ; it was fust coming to that; he ordered his "missus" lo sell'em today. He would pload guilty.—His Worship said the Bench would be as liflit as possible; 10s and costs.—Alexander ljcu. two cows at the same place, 5s and costs.— Thomas Ready, one horse in Altai Road (Mr Karl for defendant).— adjourned until Monday. Hikty Yaiw.—James Witherage was summoned, on the information of Mr Goldie, Inspoctoi, with permitting the yard attached to his house in Devon-street, Newton, to be in a lilthy condition, causing a most offensivo smell. —Defendant did not appear, and in order to a full investigation of the case, it was remaaded until Tuesday next. This was all tho business.
