A sativk named Tc Meihana, n lunatic, was arrested yesterday oharged with having murdered a Maori woman named To Tukomata at To Ngao, by striking her on tho head and arm with a titrco stick. Tho murder wus committed at about 3 p.m. on Wednesday. Constable Abrams at once on rec«iving information, proceeded to the scene of tlio tragedy with Constable Takoro. They found that the natives had buried the victim, and at once, exhumed the body. Constable Takoro being left in charge while Constablo Abrams camo hero for aconvoynnco to bring the body in.
