Hawera, this day. A SHARP shock of earthquake was felt here at 9.37 this morning. Tho direction was oast to west.

CamiDUDOE, this day.—A slight shock of eartlmuttke was felt hero a little after 10 o'clock this morning. No damage resulted.

Hamilton, this day.—At 9.55 this morning a slight earthquake shock -,vaß felt hore, apparently travelling from tho southeast, and lasting about seven seconds. The earthquake was distinctly felt by Mr Saniios, chemist ; Mr Edgecumbe, of the "Times;" and by Dr. Bealo. Tho latter was in bod at the time, and, on proceeding to rise, oscillated so much as to ejaculate "That's vory peculiar." The shock, howover, was not gonorally noticed. It will bo a comfort to tho Pubiic Works Department to learn that the new railway bridge is earthquake-proof, that .hightowering structure having stood tho Ehock ' without vibration, though tho editorial lamps in tho " Times " office swung to and fro. The barometer is surprisingly high, being 30.35, KIRIKIHI, this day.—A shock of earthquake was felt hero at 9.5". It was experienced about the samo time at To Awamutu.

Wellington, this day.—A shock of earthquake was felt along the Wost Coast, from I'almorston to New Plymouth, about 10 this morning.
