MINING NEWS.

(n\- TELEGRAPH—OWN CORRF.SPOXHF.XT.)

Thames, this day. Belcher (Workman's new Collarbone find). —A trial crushing is being broken from the hanging wall of the reef at the outcrop. Gold in greater or less quantity has been found on both walls of the lode.

Bright Smile.—The Dessider level has been repaired for a length of 500 feet, and no great difficulty in leaching the lode is anticipated. The leader in the winze is still promising. New Prince Imperial.—The firmness of the sharemarket is attributable to the excellent show in the workings on the Mariner's reef in the stopes above No. 4 level. This body is about 8 feet wide, and gold is to-day visible in several places, accompanied by particularly favourable indications.
