PROFESSOR PAYNE'S ENTERTAINMENT.
Professor Payne again gave several wonderful shooting performances at tho Opera House last evening. Ono remarkable exhibition of skill was the firing at a percussion cap placed on the target, on the platform from tho body of tho hall, and striking the cap at the first shot. Professor Payne also shot an applo from his brother's head while lying on his back and firing over his shoulder, and besides this, he repeated other singular feats performed at former exhibitions. Another performance will be given this evening. During the evening Miss Bella Sutherland, of Melbourne, gave somo first-rato songs and dances, as also did Mr Barry O'Neil. The dark seance, which had been found not to work satisfactorily in tho Opera House, was loft out, and the programme given is perhaps the best of its kind over offered to tho Auckland public. A largo audienco is anticipated to-night to witness the marvellous shooting of the Professor.
