TREACHERY THE CAUSE OF THE DISASTER.

The Troops Tempted Into Ambuscade.

(Received November 24th—1.45 a.m.) London*, November 23. Through the the treachery of a guide, the Egyptian army was induced to enter a rocky, wooded, and waterless defile, where, falling into ambuscade, Hicks Pasha was unable to use his guns.
