We direct attention to the closing lecture of the scries of the V.M.C.A. Winter Lectures. Professor Thomas is to be tho lecturer, and his subject" Volcanoes." We understand Professor Thomas intends to illustrate his lecture with lime-light views and some experiments, including that of an active volcano. He purposes making special reference to Auckland volcanos, so that a great treat is in store for those who arc fortunate enough to he present.
