The s.s. Hannah Mokau arrived from Waitara on Saturday night with *i sheep, 70 lambs, nnd 15 horses. She returned thither this morning, at 11 o'clock. Tho s.s. Douglas arrived from Waitara at 7 p.m. on Saturday with IS2 sheep, and was to leave again for tho same thte afternoon. Tha steamers Lalia Rookh and Rowena arrived yesterday morning, tho former from Waitara with 205 sheep, and 1 horses, and tho latter from Wanganui with 1G horses, 80 sheep, and the following passengors:—Mr and Mrs McDonald and family, Messrs Craig. Stanull, England, and Tongy. She is advertised to leave again for Hokianga at 1 p.m. to-morrow. The J Lalla Rookh returned to Waitara on Sunday evening.

The Union Co.'s steamer Rotorua arrived from

j the South at noon yestorday. Cargo: 100 sack 3 ! malt, 911 sacks barloy, 50 cases jam. 10 sacks ! oatmeal, !0 bags, etc., 10 sacks flour, 40 cases and kegs butter, and sundries. Passengers:—Mesdames Stevenson, Furby, Mann and t childron. Misses Stevenson and Clark. Messrs Stevenson (2), Lake, Parrott, Clark (2), Hogan, Barber, . Cocks, Hill, Edwards (2,, Whalsh, Chudlelßh, , and 8 steerage. She returns South to-morrow ' afternoon. There was no sign of the Government steamer , Hinomoa up to I p.m. to-day.
