Waitemata Masonic Lodge.
The annual meetiDg of this lodge was held on Monday tveniog in the Masonic Ball, for the installation of officers, etc,. The brethren and visitors mustered largely. Brother a. Wright, W.M., Lodge Ara, and P.M. of Lodye Waiteniata, officiated and conducted the ceremony in a highly ■im». pressive manner. Brother W. A. Fenton was installed W.M., and p-oceeded to iuvrst the Qfficets for the cnmlng year as follows:—T. McCollough, S. W. jCaptaia J. Elliot, J.W.; Rev. C. M, Nelson, P.M., obaplan'; J. L. Uatswell, P.M, treasurer; H. Q. Wade, P.M., secretary; J. Butler, D.C.; Major James Pirie, organist ;W. H. Jacobs, S.D.; A. Jackson, J.D. ; E Augur, 1.6.; H. Fogden and W, Grey, stewards; and Captain Tonge, tyler. At the close of this imposing ceremony, an excellent repast was provided, of which the brethren pattook. The newly installed W.M. presided and proposed the usual Masonic toast' of the evening. Brothers D.D.G.M. Lodder, for the E.C., and P.M. Burns, tor the 1.C., replied, and referred to the brotherly feeling which prevailed ro tho threo constitutions of New Zealand. Brother D.D.G.M, Lodder proposed the health of the W.M., and 6poke ol the efficiency he had displayed in condueling "the business of "the Lodge when he held the position sof P.M. on- a previous occasion. His knowledge of the craft generally had induced the brethren to entrust him with the mastership of the lodge for the ensuing year.— Brother Fenton resrocded, and said the honour had fallen to his lot quite, unexpectedly, but as an act of duty becoming every Mason, he had accepted tho position for another term, and if he bad merited the approbation of the b ethren in his previous term of office, nothing should be left wanting on his part to secure a similar re; suit during the present year.—The toast or. "The Visiting Brethren" was proposed by Brother P.M. Wade, and responded to by Brother Powley. The 1.P.M., Brother Waddel, proposed "The Health of thq Installing Master," and several others vero proposed and acknowledged, and the lodge was closed in the usual manner, :
