BAPTIST B AZAAR
THE Baptist Tabernacle Bazaar was ORain well patronised la3t evening, and although sales vrfcto not so numerous as on tho previous evening, yet the receipts amounted to the giatifying total of £167 14s 6d, which with tho tskiDgs on Monday, makes an aggregate of £430 18s 3d. This is more than equal to the sanguine exp*cta'ions, and it is encouraging to the promtterg to penevere. Tbe yoang mens' and psstor's »nd John Ploughman's stills headed the list with £48, while the Sunday-scbool s'all came noxt with £30. Ponsoaby stall, which had been the most auccossfal on the picvious day, followed with £28 3i 6d, while Graftou had £18 17s 7d, *nd the City sta 1 £10 5s Gd. S> me idea ot the number of persons present may be formed from the fact that the cmr.ince money was £29 9s 9d. Befreshmentsyielded £7 16s; dissolving views, £3 4s 9d j tho ''Tabernacle] Builder," £1 SdJ; i flower atall, 10s 6i ; xrtigiung machines, 6s 6d. To'al, £167 14s 6d. Amongst those who have worked tor the succe s of tbe bazaar, we are nquited to mention the following : Mr aod Miss Oldham with other lady friends spent a lot of time collecting material and money and obtaining valuable '. caiitributions; Miss Smith, daughter of tho late Mr J. Smith, Queen-street, worked a very handsome tableottoman and footstools, the latter being very beautifully mounted by Mr Keid, Cabinetmaker, Hobsoc-street; Mißs Canning, Queenstreef, gave a very valuable Christmas cake. The bazaar and picture gallery were open ai^aiu this afternoon, and were vißited by a considerable number of persons. ,A concert will take place to-night, and a glance * at the programme; which fs published elsewhere, shows that it will be a remarkably good one.
