'iliese wero obtained while taking dawn tbe reef from the bank from where it was intersected towards the break. The reef is generally two feet, thick, and a fine show wssleft in the roof, promidn? well for tho slopes. The reef was not all taken down right up to tbe break. The Southern Cross yesterday morning obtained 201bs of nico picked atone from the winze on No. 2 reef from No. 3 Prince Imperial level, and another 20ibn this morning. The winze is down about 53 feet in good country, ao_d the reef is 2'feet thick, carrying asplendid class of mineral. Gold is still showing.

Thereturn from the Kuranui Hill is 45oz'. 15dwts. Ihe manager is opening up two or three blocks, which should prove payable, so next month's return will probably be better.
