It approves b* ihe hcci()n of ibe Melbourne Chamber of Commerce iv endeavouring to obtain a reduction of the rates in tlje New Zealand 9abje, and . condemns exioting anomaly under which ,the tariff is greater from there it is to Australia.. The "Argus" proposes that the.colonies should act jointly , to. increase ihe royalty paid to .the Eastern £xt.ensi on Telegraph Company, with a view to obtain a reduction of tariff.
