MELBOURNE, December 29, CHAHFION STAKES,
The following is the latest betting on the Champion Stakes, to be run on Monday, January 2nd:— Wheatear, sto 2; Wellington, 3to 1; Santa Glaus, 7to 1.
The following horses are also probable starters:— Sir Peter, Royal Maid, Coriolanus. Koh-i-noor, Commotion, Marmora, Martindalc, Somerset, and Monmoutb.
