In all races in which standard wei«bt-for-aeo shall be carried, an allowance according to the following scale shall be made to all horses sired north of the lino, and foaled between January 1 and August I—two and three-year-oldb, lOlbs; four-year-olds, 71bs; five-year-olds, 31bs. In the SeLing Race the winner shall bo EOld with all engagement at the meeting. Any surplus above the Belling price to belong to the Auckland Racing Club, and any horao in such Selling Raoe, though not a winner, may, at tho request of any person made to the stewards within 15 minutes of weighing the first horse.be put up to auction in the same way as the winner, the upset price to bo the amount at which he is to be cold, together with the value of the stake. Any surplus to belong to the Auckland Racing Club.
