GRAFTON ROAD WESLEYAN CHURCH.
A valedictory Boire<s was held last evening in the above schoolroom. Tho partial object of the evening was a farewell to the Revs. George Bocd and G. Girling. The tea was most excellent, and was supplied by Mr John Burton. The audience was very good. Mr J. C. Stono occupied the chair. He said that primarily the meeting was to celebrate their 16th anniversary, but it had a twofold object—that oi saying good-bye to Revs. G. Bond and Girling, who remove to other spheres. Ho was pleased to see such a good gathering in response to the wish of the trustees. He referred to the useful labours of Mr Bond and Mr Girling, and hoped that they would still continue to be blessed in their labours. Mr F, A. White rend the balance-sheet and annual report, which shewed receipts from all sources to be £256 5s 6d. Mr Clayton, circuit steward, referred at length to tho work in the circuit. He spoke in terms of praise to the labours of Messrs Bond and Girling; they had worked well and earnestly. Other speakers followed, each referring to tha work of the past, and the services of their ministers. The Rev. Thomas Buddie gave an appropriate address. The Revs, Bond and Girling replied in a touching manner. The choir sang several pieces of sacred music durin&r the evening. Votes of thanks brought the meeting to a close.
