Copies of Prospectus and'forme of Application for Shares can be obtained from tho Brokers, Provisional Directors, or from any of theßrancheß ot the Bank of New Zealand in thiß Colony, until the 15th day of December, 18S0, at which date all applications must be in the hands of the Bipkers, when the list will positively be closed and eharcs allotted. Specimens of Caswell Sound Marble can be seen at any of the Museums in New Zealand; the Chamber of Commerce, Wellington; or on application toaDy of the Officers of the ConiPflSi introdnolng this eligible investment to the notice of tho public, ilie promoters desire to state that tho Company's rights comprise the beßt, most available, extensive, and perhaps most valuable Marble deposits in the known world, at all events in the Southern Hemisphere. This is sufficiently proved by Caawell sound Marble securing the first prize at the late Sydney Exhibition agalnßt Italian Statuary and other valuable varieties. They also wish to dwell upon its known certainty and nonttpeoulative character, the ultimate success of this venture being now well established. The lowest quotation for this Mariile is IBs per, foot, and ranges up to £5, ' Larger blocks,' are, however, much more valuable, some pure White Statuary, without flaws, realising as much as £20 000 sterling in Europe. The ordinary price for a block suitable for a life-size human statue being about £1000. The present coat of producing this Marble by manual labor only is about 2s per cubio loot, f.o.b. These figures may appear incredible, but they are nevertheless absolutely correct. This, taking the cost of production as stated and the very lowest wholesale quotation at 123 per foot, gives the apparently fabulous minimum rate of 500 per oont. profit. Itjs, therefore, no visionary matter, as these are leadIng commercial lines and the1 values well known, tho facilities of production, shipment, high quality of produot, giving a vast advantage over any like property in the world. Wowillalsoventure to predict that the valao of the Company's hares will iicroase at least 300 per cent, within twelve|months of issue. Referring to consumption of these commodities, it is aIBO enormous. The consumption of Marble. Portland Cement, and Lime, in the Australian Colonies, alone during the last twelve months has been £2,872,G00 sterling, and rapidly increasing. Caswell Sound is a commodious and safe harbor ior the largest vessels in all weathers, the works of the Company being situated at the water's edue. ■ The Government of this colony has also promised to f avourubly consider special grants in concessions In aid as soon as the Company is suoqpsgfully floated. For further particulars rp other qtfnerala found at tho Sound, copper, coal, gold, Sen., also the manufacture of hydraulic cement, lime, &c, together with scientific, professional, Government, and other reports, with details of the objeots and intentions of the Company,. we refer to the Prospectus, which can be obtained upon application to any of the officers of: the Company or from Company's] Agents, the Bank of New Zealand, Auckland, or at any of their branches in this colony ami Australia. ; YOUNG.
