'Iho Anglican Synod, ou votes, lately decided against free scats. Bishop Neville minouuced that the Rev. William Gust, son of tho Doan of York, had accepted » liconse in this diocese. The Synod resolved to request the Government to extend to tho Church of England an equal opportunity for the instruction of its children in tho Industrial Schools with that accorded to the Roimui Catholic Church.
