GRAHAMSTOWN, this day.
Kuranui Hill, G.M. C—Mr J. W. Walker reports to the Directors of this mine, 360 feet lorel; six men havo been driving towards the northward slide on No. 1 lode, which is solid and of large size, but shews no gold. Oddfellows'.—The ground and leader evidences no change since last report. Teutonic.—The new adit-holed to the abaft 322 feet,-bearing up westward to pick up Barry's lode; The water is standing in tbe shaft 55 feet under the new drive. The contractors finished on Saturday last; havo started six wages men to continue tbe drive. On the Shotover level the drive to reach the leader touched quartz 30 feet beyond the starting point, and is being continued 43 feet upon the vein. At this point a rise of 40 feet has been put, connecting the, same with the intermediate drive which has been re-timbered 120 feet. Pound colors of gold at several places in. tho drivo reef. Prospects generally encouraging. Tribute parties quiet not doing much good.
