Suicide at Oamaru.

OAMARU, Tuesday. Mr. McMillan, a well-known settler committed suicide to-day, by hanging himself. At mid-day, he went to some men who were engaged sowing potatoes o n his farm, and said~to them " Now then, boys, it is time to go to dinner," and gave them instructions to continue sowing all the afternoon.. As ho did not himself go to dinner, Mrs McMillan wont to.look for him, and found him hanging in an outhouse/ No reason, so f»r as can at present be ascertained, can be assigned for the act.
