Sergeant Clarke deposed that prisoner was not in a sufficiently sane state to plead this morning. He would ask for a remand of eight days. Kemanded accordingly. SUMMONS CASES. Solomon Hart was charged with permitting three cows to wander on the railway line at Waikomiti, on the 24th inst. Defendent pleaded not guilty. Edward Sadgrovo, John Davies, and John Davis, jun., gave evidence as to seeing the cows on the line, but were not sure they were the property of Mr Hart.
