Intelligence has been received from Kandahar that Ayub Khan is retreating with all possible speed along the road to Herat, and is accompanied by Hashim Khan and a large, body of Herati cavalry. Australians. LONDON, September 6. Ihe match between tho All-England eleven and tho Australian cricketers was commenced to-day. The homo team went in lirst to tho wickete, and when the stumps were drawn for tho day had lost 8 wickets lor 410 runs. Mr W. G. Graco scored .152. The attendance was very large.
