Cabinetmakers v. Upholsterers.

These generally united trades held, we believe, their lirst cricket match in the Domain, but it was evident that they had not been much accustomed to handling the willow. The Cabinetmakers had the best of the game. Win. George scored 34, Bell 10, and Donaldson 19. The Upholsterers, in two innings, scored 80, aud the Cabinetmakers, in one innings, made 82.

West End Sec >nd Eleven v. Whau Union.

This well-contested match was played on Saturday afternoon at the Whau in the presence of a large number of settlers, and in which the West Enders proved the victors. In the West End interest good men appeared, Hanna scoring 21, Woods 17, Cooper 10, and Waymouth 10. The latter was in full swing, and went in with a determination to win, but was run oat, and obliged to give place to his successor. The Whau men went in with a dream of certain victory. McCarthy marked 10, Brett 9, and Hill 8. The insinuation bowling of Waymouth brought down the wickets several times in succession. We append the scores : —
