The P.O. Co.'s steamship Banjjawe, with the inward Suez mail, has arrived here. She has measles aboard. One death has occurred on the passage. LONDON. March 4. The Australian and U.S. (January) mails, via Suez, were delivered to-day. English Commercial. LONDON. March 4. Three per ccut. consols 97f. The bank rate remains unchanged. The Bank of England's weekly returns show a total reserve in notes and bullion of £16,625,000. Adelaide wheat and Hour, and Australian tallow remain at the last quotations. Tne Wool Sales. At the wool sales to-day 9,900 bales wero offered. The tone of the sale was firm and bidding very active. Sentence of Death on Melikoffs Assailant. ST. PKTEKSBURGH. March 4] Movdiscy, the Nihilist who was arrested in connection with the recent attempt on the life of General Melikoff, has been tried and found guilty of the offence, and hns been sentenced to death. He will be hanged immediately. Furoher Nihilist Threats. St. PETEUBBUBG. March 4. A Nihilist pro granda has been issued, expressing regret at the failure of the explosion at the Winter Palace and stating that further attempts ou tho life of the Czar will bo made, unless ho abdicates or giants a reform of the Constitution as demanded by Nihilists.
