The Financial Statement.
The TreasurerhuuiintroduccdhiaFinancial Statement. The revenue for last financial year waß £4,525,000, and expenditure was £5,275,000. He estimates reveuue for the next year at £4,762,000, and expenditure at £4,985,000. The deficit is to bo covered by an increase of taxes on stamps ; spirits, 2s a gallon ; wines, sparkling, 4s; others, Is; beer, 3d a gallon : tobacco, leaf, 3d ; manufactured, 6d; excise duties on beer and tobacco of threepence. Mr Munro, in the Assembly, gave notice ot motiou to address the Governor, asking that a satisfactory measure for the reform of the Constitution should be carried during the present session.
