To-morrow (Friday) evening is tiktift 'or the meeting of subscribers totue A.':":-i-'iand Scripture Gift and Prize Association,m vhe Young Men's1 ltooms. This Society, started by :\ few men desirous of widening a knowledge of Scripture has not only' been the means of doing a large amount of good in the way indicated, but it has turned many ' children to studious habits, and care and cleauliucfsss in writing competitive lessons. The Society has, moreover, distributed hundreds of useful volumes among the' industrial community, and consequently aided a taste for sound reading.
