TARANAKI TEAM V. EIGHTEEN COLTS.
The Tarauaki team were to proceed to the Thames on Saturday night, to play a match there, but at the last moment the match fell through. They played fifteen of " our boys " in the Domain to-day. The youthful team consisted of Messrs Stalhvorthy, Arneil, Colgan, McGregor, Cromwell, Yv. Fraser, McConnick, A. Hendry, Lawry, Laukham, Hamilton, George, T. Sibbin, and Wynyard. Kliugeudev played as a| substitute for Cunningham with the Taranaki team Taranaki went to the wickets first, and were all out at 1.30 p.m., their scores being as follow :— TARANAKI,—IST INNINGS.@^^T;It F. Bayiy, b Arneil „ 0 Northwoud, c Colgan, b Arneil 15 Adams, b Stallvvorthy 16 G.'Bayly, b Stall worthy .. • 12 Klingender (sub), b Stall worthy .. .. a Davies, run out 18 Oleary, b Aruell 12 Rid diford, b Arneil .. .. 0 Bewley, c Wynyard, b Hamilton .. .. 23 Harrison, b JMcCormick 34 Sarten, not out 6 Extras .. .. 9 Total.. 158 The " boys" then went to the wickets, but their innings was interrupted, from 2.30 to 3.30 by the rain. The scores at that time showed 4 wickets down for 13 runs. The following are their scores : COLTS—IST INXING3.
