What would the Queen say if she saw my new lot of lovely Cuife and Collars? I have plenty of the Collars, but the Cuffs are going so fast that they will soon be all 30ld; Embroidery. Id a yard; Ladies' White Stockings, 6d; a few Boys' Woolen Jackets left at 2s. I will now reduce my 6s Jackets to 4s, and my Is ones to 3s 6d. Already about three parts of the Scarf Shawls I told you of are sold, and which measure 3 yards 7 Inches long, and over 2 feet wide. If there are any married men who wish their wives to live a long while, arid I believe there are some who do, let them prove it by treating their wives to one of these Shawls this cold weather. Toilet Fringe, Id a yard; Lace, Id a yard; Clark's skeins Crochet Cotton, 2|d or 2s Id per doz; Hair Pins, 5d a dozen box 63, or i 2 boxes a penny; Towels, 3d and 6d; Trouser Buttons, 2d per dozen. Ail I need say about them is that though "they may not be" more than 9 carat gold, they look as well as many that are IS carat, and somebody loses awf nlly on them, I can assure you. As you ladies are fond of the beautiful, come and look at my immense stock of magnificent Beit Clasps, the highest price of which is Is a pair. The small shopkeepers should buy quickly my round Looking Glasses at Bd, Is, and Is 6d per dozen; Silk Cushion Cord, 6d per dozen yards; Slates, 3d; Towels, 3d; f reah lot of Bog Oak Brooches, 6d each. I want to see how many sensible tailors will come and buy my CO inch Tape Measures at Id each, worth 6d; my Liden Machine Thread at 6d a 2oz. reel, and my Tailor's Thimbles at 9d a doz., worth 3d each. If all tho women in Auckland were as sharp as my lady customers, I shouldn't have any 2CO yard reels of Glazed Cotton left to sell at 8d a dozen, nor any 50-yard ditto to sell at Id per dozen; but there are sure to be some stupid women in every country. My Ruche (different colours) is going well at id a yard. I shouldn't be at all surprised but what some of the ladies have been telling then-husbands about my Men's superior Felt Hats at 2s Gd, as there has been a great run on them lately. I have also some at 2s. Handsome Coloured Satin Furniture Trimming, 6d per yard; Coloured FurBraid, 6d per dozen yards; Black and Green Furniture Gimp, 6d per dozen yards; Black Bugle Dress Gimp, reduced to Id per yard. Isn't it a wonder ladies that I manage to live when I am continually reducing something for you. I have'nt had any Children's Poll Combs to boast cf lately, but I have now at 3d to 6d each: handsome Bodkins, 3d a doz; Shoe Brushes, with veneered backs, 3 for 2s Cd; a few dozen Pork Pie Hats leit, reduced to Id each ; a few Men's Courier Bags left at 2s and 2s 6d. Will you believe that lam selliner Linen Shirt Fronts with or without collars, at 6d each; about half of them are already gone. Black Braid, Id a dozen yards; Grey and Brown do. 6d a| gross; Green and Purple do, Is 6d a i-gross ; vv hito handled Knivtfs, 3d each; a few Rink Muffs left. 3s 6d each; a few Waterproof Coats left, reduced to 6s each ; colored Bag Binding, Id a dozen yards ; a few Men's Patont Leather Leggings left, reduced to 3a Cd a pair. I am selling Carte-de-Visites of the principal people in the world at lOd each or 8s a dozen ; Cabinet size, Is 6d each. What will the men do when all my Satin Scarfs at Is are all gone, adit will not be long, for I have already sold I should think about 45 dozen. I shall want you ladies to buy my hand3ome Bolt Buckles at 2d to Is as soon as you can, as I have bought over 92 dozen. 1 have also bought about 80 dozen pairs of Bracelets, which I am selling 6d and 9d a pair, and they are beauties ; ladies high Button Boots, 5s Gd. Some ladies have sense enough to give me Is 6d for a good Umbrella, but they don't all appear to have. Military Braid reduced to Id a dozeu yards. I wili nOw open a fresh lot of Chignons in separate boxe3 and sell them at Is. All the others I now reduce to 9d. I have also a great bargain in Ribbon at Id to 8d a yard ; do. nearly 3J inches wide 3 Is; black Vulcanite Chain, 9d a yard ; green blue violet and drab Dress Gimp, 2d a yard; also green, blue, and drab Silk .fringe, 3d a yard, Come and see my handsome Black Hair and Hat Ornaments, from 3d to 9d; White Bed Lace, 6d a dozen yards. lam now selling the coarse Reels of Machine Silk that the ladies like at 2d or Is 9d a dozen ; 30 yards do, Is 3d a dozen or ljdareel; Shoemaker's Tape Measures, Id each ; Tasso Trimming, 2d a ya; d; good size colored bordered Pocket Handkerchiefs, 3d each ; good Elastic, 36yds for Is; black glass Dress Buttons, 2d a dozen ; large Black Satin do, _d; Colored do, Id. Now lam not going to say that there is one bad woman in Auckland, but still I will say that some are a great deal better than others ; for instance I believe some ladies come and get their bargains of me as usual, and hug them all to themselves, not saying a word to their friends about the wonderful bargains they have bought, whilst the good ladies show what they have bought of me, and tell the price they have paid, and co do good to those they know, including myself. I have a few Hawking Baskets cheap for those who are thinking of going into business. There is one advantage the ladies will gain by reading this advertisement over again, and that is they will be able to write down what they wish to remember.
