PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH NORTH SHORE.
An interesting ceremony took place in the above church last evening, at the-close ot the choir practice. Mr G. Sibbin, on behalf ,of the Committee and ladies of the congregation, presented to Mr Alfred J. Evans, the conductor .of the choir,'with a purse containing, about twenty sovereigns; |aß| a Slight acknowledgment ot the valuable services rendered to the church by him. Mr Evans suitably replied, and said that he wished to take advantage of that opportunity, by thanking the congregation for the kind manner in which he had always been treated by them, and also to the choir for the able manner in which they had supported him. The meeting then closed. • " '.'."..-r ---.-- - ■■-■ [
