The Surveys in Asia-Minor. Republican Victory in Prance. I LONDON, August 21st. The British Government have "resolved to prevent a Russian-Afghan allianee,TeTen at the cost of seizing Khandaru and possibly Herat for strategic purposes. -— The Government will unofficially support exploring railway routes in Asia Minor but declines any guarantee. There is a large Republican majority in the elections for the French Council A Republican victory at the Senatprical elections is assured.
