The P.M. steamer Australia, from Sydney, arrived in harbour at eleven o'clock last night, after the fastest ran to this port from Sydney on record viz.. 4 days 4 hours 24 minutes. We are indebted to Mr Dean, purser for files, passenger list and the following report ef the pas age ;- The R.M. s.s. Australia, H. Cargill Commander, discharged her pilot off Sydney Heads at 4 p.m. of August loth, with a fresh breeze and. fine, clear weather. Experienced hard squalls and heavy rains on the 17th. Fine clear weather and westerly winds prevailed up to the 19th, and at 7 am. this date the North Cape abeam, distant 2 miles; at 11.30 a.m., Cavilla Islands abeaßi; sighted Tiri Tiri light at 8 p.m.; and wasi boarded by pilot at 10 p.m. Time Sydney to Auckland, 4 days 4 hours 24 minutes. The Australia brings the following passengers :- Saloon-Miss Allen, Drß. Kyngdon, Messrs W. Laurie, F. P. Kyngdon, P. Lang, F. Stagg. W C Fischer, and 3 steerage. I<or San Francisco: Mr and Mrs N. A.
