The following special cable despatch from our London correspondent, reached us: at seven o'clock on Saturday night. Asusnal we find that it has again anticipated Eeuter :— LONDON, August 16. The Austiians were signally defeated in attempting to take Penigros, ancLwere pursued to near the Dalmatian border. In Ausiria military preparations on. a large scale are being initiated. - - Servia, replying to Austria abont military preparations, state that they are necessary for the defence of the territory given by the Congress. The Servians and Montenegrins are sup; plying the Bosnians with arms and mtmi« tions of war to resist Austria. ~ , j
It is reported that Bosnia and Herzegovina have resolved to unite to resist Austria.
