(Before A. Clements, Esq., Justice of the Peace.) DRUNK. Ann Shields was charged with having been drunk last night. The prisoner, an old woman, admitted the soft impeachment with a melting smile, which, however, had no effect on the heart of the Magistrate. Fined ss. and costs. A MAOKI ON THE SPRUE. Edward, a noble savage, wrapped in the folds of a rather ui:clean blauket, was charged with drunkenness. Mr Richard Grigg interpreted. Prisoner pleaded guilty. His head was affected. Mr Pardy .;aid as the prisoner had been in custody for eight days, working oft' the effects of his spree, he would, therefore, ask that he be discharged. Discharged accordingly. This concluded the business, and the disappointed audience slowly retired.
