Arrivals : Golden Isle, Mariner, btart. Sailed : Fanny Kelly, Policeman, also the lona. SCULLING RACE. A sculling race between Smith, a Russell boatman, and Hunt, of Auckland, was won by the latter, who decidedly had the advantage by using a rudder, the non-use of which was not properly defined in the agreement. The way in which the lona's boat followed the race was unfavorably commented upon.
