GREAT STRIKE IN MANCHESTER
TROOPS ORDERED FROM INDLA,

LONDON, April 17. Parliament was adjourned for the Easter holidays yesterday. Thirty thousand Manchester operatives have struck work. The extension of the strike throughout Lancashire is imminent. The Eighth Regiment of the Indian army and two batteries of artillery have been ordered to Malta.
