MURDER BY NEW GUINEA NATIVES.
TOWNSVILLE, March 22.
By the mail steamer Somerset, news has been received that New Guinea natives, from Katow River, have murdered some native missionary teachers, and that all the rest of the teachers had retreated to Marfiack. The Police Magistrate at Thursday Island advises the interference of the Government, by sending a man-of-war to the scene of the murder.
