Sir —Is it a usual thing to make people pay for what they don't get? land the rest ot the ratepayers of Ponsonby City .\ est have paid a water rate tbe last two years simply im nothinc Wepossess all city advantages so far a« Paying 'rates goes, and nothing rfsf If a fire were to occur where should we be ? It would be a very serious matter,
I can assure you. It is a usual thing to get consideration for money paid away, but our .vise City Councillors seem to know lioav to get it without consideration. —Yours, etc., Ponsonby Ratepayer.
