ARRIVAL OF THE AUGUSTA.

The brig-antino Augusta, whose approach was notified by the Eoweiia yesterday, arrived from Fiii during the nighv. brings a large cargo of Fiiian pi-aduce. consigned to the Auckland Steam Packet Company. Reynolds, George Pulley, Mr and Mrs Hunter. , The barques Spirit of the Dawn and Columbus entered out to-day for London, and the brigantino Anyi-sta for Levuka. The Pretty Jane ia now engaged carrying timber from the Thames to Gisborne on behall: of Messrs \V r. Sims and Co., the contractors for the bridge over tho Waipaoa river. She left Grahamstown last nJght with 11,000 ft. ana is fekely to make another trip. . The cutter Iris, W. Simons, master, has arrived from Mangav,-a,i. with 13 sacks gum S,BOO palings, hides, settler's produce. &c. She has also three passc-nyers. . The schoon.;r Wiiliamuind Julia arrived from Noumea via Wangaroa. at 12 o'clock last night. She left Noumea on the 17th ult. in ballast, arriving at Wangaroa on the Ist Sentember. Loaded there with timber for Messrs Holdship and Co. She reports that the schooner Waiwera from hence; arrived at: Noumea with a load of horses shipped at Norfolk. Island. She sailed for Norfolk Island on the 16th. and w-t.s engaged to load whale oil for Sydney, so that we are not likely to see her back here for f-otne t'lne' The barque Gkncoe cleared this afternoon for f-lokianga in wallt'.'-f.
