In introducing this mining venture to the favourable notice of the public, the promoters would direct attention to the situation of the property. It is, as will be seen by reference to the annexed plan, favourably situated for the strike and underlie o: the well-known Piako and Bird-in-Hand reefs. It adjoins the Piako Company s Mine on the west side, and the reels which are now being v.orked so successfully in the latter must strike through the now Company's ground. It is well known that the reefs of this district improve in size and quality as they are followed towards the Union Claim, and this theory buss been satisfactorily proved by ihe present operations of the Piako Company.
