GUN ACCIDENT TO MR SEYMOUR GEORGE.

LAST Monday Mr Seymour Gcoi^e met with an accident at the Kawati which was within an ace of seriously injuring him. ile was deerstalking about a mile from Sir G. Grey's house, with a Wcstley Richards rifle. Upon being discharged at a line back, the rifle exploded at the- breach. About two inches of the metal was blown clean away, and tke flash momentarily blinded Mr George. On recovering from tne shock, ho found himself very little injured, but his face is marked in several places by the powder.
