About tAvo o'clock it rose and fell I believe more than that, although it, avus only just after loav Avater one rush came up to the level'of the wharf, and Avent back nearly to the reef. The punt was anchored in R ee f Bay, and parted her cable, and Avent ashore, but took no harm. Captain Pelley got her oil", and also picked up the anchor and chain during one of the great rushes out, although he got caught Avith the rush in, just Avhen he had got hold of the end of the chain."
