Contrary to expectation, and at the eleventh hour, Mr Morgan has been brought forward to contest the election with the Hon. Mr Fox, Mr Fox was proposed by Mr Watt, and seconded by Mr J. Dingan ; Mr Morgan by Mr A. C, Foaks and Mr John Howie. Mr Fox is likely to win, but it is hard to say, as electors 'think that something more positive should be known as to his willingness to stand. Mr Watt animadverted strongly on Sir Julius Voxel's retirement at this crisis. ?:av. T r:
