J • PROSPECTUS. 1 The want of proper Steamer Accomodation botween Auckland, Thames, and Coromandel has been severc--1 ly felt for so considerable a time that the Projectors of this Comp«ny now ptenoso 10 form a Joint Stock 1 Company (Limited), for the purpoje of having a Boit ' built oxpres.ly for passenger and rargo traffic, not ; only to meet the pressing demand* of trade, but with such increased speed as to limit the passage to and 1 from Auckland to four hour?. A contract at once to ' be entered into with Messrs Fraser & Tinne, Auckland, for a First-class Iron lioat, rep'ete with every ' m odern improvement and accomodation, to be ready by Decomber next, and estimated to cost £11.000, The nominal capital of tho Company is estimated at _212,E00, £1,500 being allowed to meet contingencies. Tho guarantee, as regard- the new Boat, to be as follows :—cpeed to ho 12 knots per hour; and for > every knot less than 12 knots per hour, her builders to forfeit at the rate of £1,000 por knot. Should the speed of tho Boat xceed 12 knots, the builders to receivo a bonus of £1,000 for every knot over 12 knots ' por hour : such bonus to be taken up in shares in the new Company.
