Hoani Nahe, native member, on his departure for "Wellington this morning, was accompanied to the steamer by all the leading chiefs and a large crowd of natives. Crushing... The Caledonian lodged 76 ozs. to-day, the result of the interim clearing up- The average is less than an ounce to the ton. The Alburnia (Allen's tribute) crushed a small parcel of picked stuff for 10 ozs. gold. The Little Agnes, Tararu, will resume orushing on Monday on stuff from the winze. A pigeongram from Ohinemuri, to-day, stops the sale of shares in the Smile of Fortune, and intimates that rich gold has been struck in the winze.
Perseverance.—The Perseverance claim, Waitekauri, has cut the Young New Zealand reef.
