Accident in Parnell.

An accident occurred on Saturday afternoon in Parnell, which was singularly slight in its effects, considering the nature of the occurrence. Mr William George's son, Rich ml, while driving his father's cart, found it necessary to stimulate the exertions of his steed with an application of whipcord. The horse responded with a sudden spurt which jerked the driver off his seat headforemost on to tho roadway. Fortunately the lad was able to save himself by holding out his handa, but the cart immediately passed over one of his arms above the eibow. Upon being picked up it was found that althongh the lad's face was a good deal scratched, and his arm bruised and swollen, there were no bones broken, and apparently no other injury of a very serious character.
