HOWICK.
Last evening a numerously-attended and most enthusiastic meeting of the electors of Howick ond the neighbourhood was held in Mr Mclnnes' lars.fi room to hear the political opinions of Mr Woodward. Mr Hattaway, bavins been called to the chair, introduced Mr Woodward in a few well-chosen remarks. Mr Woodward, in a clear and frank manner, explained his views on the chief questions of the day, and literally smashed up the accusation that has beeii brought against him of having changed his opinions in an unjustifiable manner. After having answered many questions to the satisfaction of the electors, a vote of confidence was proposed by Mr J. mes White and carried unanimously, the meeting terminating with three cheers for Sir George Grey, three cheers for Mr Woodward, and three cheers for the Chairman. — [Correspondent. ]
